School Development Plans

Our School Development Plan (SDP) sets out the school's key priorities for improvement each academic year. These priorities are informed by a range of evidence, including pupil outcomes, attendance and behaviour information, monitoring of teaching and the curriculum, pupil and parent voice, staff feedback and external review.

The School Development Plan is a working document rather than a fixed plan. Senior leaders, governors and the Vanguard Learning Trust regularly review progress, evaluate the impact of actions and adapt our approach where necessary. This ensures that our improvement work remains focused on the areas that will make the greatest difference to our pupils.

Our approach follows a continuous cycle of Identify → Plan → Implement → Monitor → Evaluate → Review. This cycle supports our self-evaluation, professional development and staff appraisal processes and helps ensure that improvement is sustained over time.

Ultimately, our School Development Plan is about turning our ambitions into action so that every child at Oak Farm has the opportunity to belong, achieve and thrive.
