Our aims and values
At Oak Farm, we believe that values are the principles that guide behaviour, choices, and relationships. Adults within our community model these values and create opportunities for reflection, enabling pupils to grow as effective learners and responsible citizens.
Through our values education, pupils learn to celebrate individual differences, develop resilience and reflection, and show empathy and respect for others. These foundations support character development and prepare children to make positive contributions both within school and in the wider community.
Our philosophy underpins our commitment to actively promoting the fundamental British values of democracy, individual liberty, mutual respect, and tolerance of those from all faiths, backgrounds, and cultures. A rich programme of assemblies and events further enhances pupils’ spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development, giving them the tools to build a strong moral and ethical compass to distinguish right from wrong.
At Oak Farm, we follow three Golden Rules:
-
Be safe
-
Be ready
-
Be respectful
Alongside this, our learning behaviours—pride, resilience, collaboration, curiosity, independence, and responsibility—help pupils to flourish academically and personally, equipping them for lifelong learning.
